Marketing Automation Specialist (Marketo)

Simply Measured is seeking a technical marketing automation professional with experience in building and supporting programs in Marketo. This role will be primarily responsible for  implementing and configuring various email programs that span the full-funnel of B2B marketing. Additionally, this person will work closely with our go-to-market teams to implement new initiatives, as well as oversee currently established programs to streamline current processes. We are looking for someone who understands the nuances of the Marketo platform, has a high attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Marketing operations & database management:
  • Own the Marketo environment and serve as the primary Marketo Administrator
  • Manage database segmentation, MQL criteria rules, and global program rules
  • Manage Marketo database to ensure data quality
  • Monitor lead flow performance from Marketo to SFDC
  • Oversee new and existing Marketo integrations and marketing vendor relationships
  • Work closely with Sales Operations to ensure integrity between Marketo and SFDC

Marketing automation:

  • Build, manage, and execute email marketing campaigns with the various go-to-market leaders
  • Recommend A/B testing and processes to optimize new and existing programs
  • Research and implement best practices into new and existing campaigns to optimize campaign performance

Reporting & analysis:

  • Report on program performance with go-to-market leaders and establish KPIs to ensure consistent improvement
  • Provide recommendations to improve campaign performance
  • Create and maintain all marketing campaign dashboards

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other field with relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of professional experience in B2B marketing with a focus on operations and marketing automation
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (Marketo), CRM systems (SFDC), and data management hygiene tools
  • Experience with email marketing operations technology, testing techniques, and best practices
  • Experience reporting and analyzing data from marketing & CRM systems
  • Proven ability to pick up new technical skills quickly, problem-solve, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Basic HTML knowledge a plus
  • Passion for developing processes to save time and optimize for results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
